My wife, adult son and I dined at BSD for the first time on Sunday evening and it was an exceptional experience. We continued to rave about it afterwards. All courses were absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. We particularly enjoyed the ravioli, steak and lamb. We don't usually have dessert, but had to indulge the dessert platter just to try it and round out the whole experience. The service was lovely and welcoming. The location and atmosphere were perfect. We sat inside, but would definitely love to sit outside should the weather be agreeable. Love this restaurant and will be treating ourselves, and visiting family and friends, to BSD more often.
A fantastic find on the waterfront in Kingston with excellent service, delicious & beautifully presented dishes. We ate the dessert too quickly so didn’t get a photo but the chocolate parfait was imaginative and delightful. My main was a wonderful combination of perfectly cooked barramundi with butter & citrus flavours. The other was pork belly cooked to a crispy perfection. We will be back.
My family and I went here to Dine for my graduation dinner — it was such a beautiful restraunt, the vibe was calm and it wasn't to loud with nice but quiet music playing in the background. The food was delicious, we all ordered the Lamb, and I don't think I could explain how amazing it was, (I would definitely recommend it) as well as the desert platter which was beautiful both in taste and in presentation. The service was lovely as well which brought a calm but soft vibe to the reatruant, giving us a fancy, but affordable option when we wanted to dress up nice and go eat someplace fancy to eat as a family.
We had six adults and 2 two year olds. The staff was very helpful with the two year olds. The meals for the six adults were all pronounced as very good by the consumer. Also, I've previously had Black Salt's pizzas and they are very good. The prices are reasonable, considering the high quality of the meals and of the service. If you think I'm writing a positive review because I like them for some reason, you are right, and above are the reasons.
Amazing food, exceptional vibe and the team were truly incredible! They were fun, offered good suggestions and clarified any food queries we had. The food was amazing, and that is an understatement. I went to Black & Salt Dining yesterday for dinner and honestly had a great time. The place has a really nice vibe - clean, cosy, and modern. The staff were friendly and checked on us just the right amount, not too much and not too little. The food was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. The presentation was good, and the portion sizes were also spot on. We didn’t have to wait long for anything, which made the whole experience even better. We really enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend Black & Salt Dining to anyone looking for good food and a relaxed atmosphere. I’d happily go back again.
We had a family dinner out at Black Salt on Saturday night. Booked outside because we needed to eat early (two girls under 12). Arrived early and the staff were happy to accommodate an inside table noting it was reserved for 7pm by which time we would be well and truly done. Service was impeccable throughout the evening. The staff were extremely helpful with our two fussy eaters - nothing was too much trouble. The Canadian scollops for entree were amazing and the steak came in at number 5 on my all time best ever steak list. Perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Could not have been happier with everything. Fabulous job. Will definitely be back.
